Your expertise in Java and Spring is deep — you’ve shipped high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests and have strong opinions on service architecture and testing strategies. You are comfortable working with REST APIs and understand the importance of security in backend development. Desirable

Experience with cloud-native architectures and familiarity with cybersecurity principles would be advantageous. What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Analytics team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Zscaler's data platform. You will design and implement backend services that curate and contextualize data from various security and business tools, helping companies understand and address their riskiest problems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and security experts, to ensure that the backend systems are robust and secure. Your responsibilities will include optimizing existing services, ensuring high availability and performance, and participating in code reviews to maintain code quality. You will also be involved in mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
