Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in DevOps engineering with at least 8 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure — you've successfully implemented CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows that enhance productivity and reduce deployment times. Your expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, allows you to design and manage robust cloud architectures that support high availability and security. You are proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes — you understand how to leverage these technologies to improve application deployment and management.
Your experience with infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform, enables you to provision and manage infrastructure efficiently — you have a deep understanding of version control systems and CI/CD practices that ensure smooth integration and delivery of software. You are well-versed in Linux systems and have a solid grasp of networking concepts, which allows you to troubleshoot and optimize system performance effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with software development teams to align infrastructure needs with application requirements.
Desirable
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus or Grafana would be a plus, as you understand the importance of observability in maintaining system health. Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments is also desirable, as you will be responsible for ensuring that security measures are integrated into the DevOps processes. You have a proactive mindset and are always looking for ways to improve existing processes and systems — you are not afraid to experiment with new technologies that can enhance operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Principal DevOps Engineer at Zscaler, you will lead initiatives to enhance the scalability and reliability of our zero trust security platform — you will design and implement infrastructure solutions that support our global operations across multiple data centers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for DevOps processes, ensuring that our development and operations teams work seamlessly together. Your role will involve optimizing our CI/CD pipelines to reduce deployment times and improve the overall quality of our software releases.
You will also be responsible for mentoring junior DevOps engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles — you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Your insights will be crucial in identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains, allowing us to respond quickly to changing business needs. You will work closely with security teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to compliance and security standards, implementing necessary controls to protect our systems and data.
What we offer
At Zscaler, we offer a dynamic work environment where your contributions will have a significant impact on our mission to secure the digital transformation of enterprises worldwide.
