Overview

Turion Space is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design and improve manufacturing processes for spacecraft. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and utilize skills in AutoCAD and Project Management. This position is based in Irvine, CA.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in manufacturing engineering with at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing manufacturing processes. Your expertise includes optimizing production efficiency and ensuring product quality through best industry practices. You are skilled in troubleshooting production issues and providing technical support to resolve equipment malfunctions and process deviations. You understand the importance of documentation and compliance with industry standards and regulations, ensuring that all manufacturing processes are well-documented and up to code.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design engineers, production teams, and suppliers to integrate new products and processes seamlessly. Your project management skills allow you to lead and manage manufacturing projects effectively, overseeing timelines, resource allocation, and performance metrics. You are committed to driving continuous improvement and quality assurance in all aspects of manufacturing.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will design and specify manufacturing equipment and tooling, ensuring that they meet the needs of production. Your troubleshooting skills will be put to the test as you provide technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and quality problems. You will prepare and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine manufacturing methods. You will facilitate communication and coordination between teams to ensure that new products and processes are integrated smoothly.
