You have a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive painting experience, demonstrating your ability to match and mix paint colors effectively. Your expertise in using water-based paint in a high-tech environment is essential for this role. You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and can adapt to the demands of the job, including mandatory overtime when necessary. You possess a valid driver’s license and can communicate effectively in English, ensuring smooth collaboration with your colleagues.

Desirable

While not required, any additional certifications or training in automotive painting techniques would be a plus. Experience with high-tech tools and equipment in an automotive setting can enhance your candidacy. A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow within the company are highly valued.

What you'll do

As a Mid-Level Auto Painter at Carvana, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting, which includes cleaning and masking areas that should not be painted. You will match and mix paint colors to ensure a perfect finish that meets Carvana's high standards. Your role will involve using state-of-the-art tools in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers, where you will apply water-based paint to vehicles inside our paint booths. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are painted efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You will also participate in training programs offered by Carvana to enhance your skills and ensure your professional growth aligns with the company's expansion. Your commitment to quality and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining Carvana's reputation as the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in the U.S. You will be expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to a positive work environment.
