Heavy Body Technician (2nd Shift)

Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive bodywork experience, demonstrating your expertise in heavy bodywork techniques. Your skills include heavy plastic welding, metal pulling, straightening, and stud welding, which are essential for repairing multiple panels effectively. You are also capable of performing roof and rocker panel repairs, as well as large area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Your experience allows you to train and mentor other autobody technicians, fostering a collaborative environment in the workshop.

You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. You understand the importance of meeting deadlines and are willing to work mandatory overtime when necessary to ensure that vehicles are delivered on time. Your ability to communicate effectively and work well with others makes you a valuable addition to the Carvana team.

What you'll do

As a Heavy Body Technician at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing extensive bodywork on various vehicles, ensuring that all repairs meet the highest standards of quality. You will utilize state-of-the-art tools in our high-tech Inspection Centers to carry out your work efficiently. Your role will involve training other technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.

You will be expected to manage your time effectively, balancing multiple projects while maintaining a focus on quality and safety. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you assess damage and determine the best repair methods for each vehicle. You will also be involved in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
