Esri is hiring a Landscape Horticulturist to maintain and develop their urban forest across multiple properties. You'll utilize your horticulture knowledge and experience in irrigation systems. This role requires 4+ years in the landscape industry.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience in the landscape industry, with a strong desire to nurture and maintain an urban arboretum. Your extensive horticulture knowledge allows you to assess plant health and landscape needs effectively. You have at least 3 years of experience with irrigation systems, demonstrating your capability to maintain and repair these systems as needed. You are familiar with using hand tools and power tools, ensuring that you can perform tasks such as trimming trees and shrubs safely and efficiently. Your effective written and verbal communication skills enable you to report landscape issues clearly and coordinate projects with ease. You are capable of working independently, identifying project requirements, and developing timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Desirable

Experience with project management in landscaping will be beneficial, as you will manage and coordinate landscape projects from start to finish. A proactive approach to identifying and addressing landscape issues is essential for success in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will maintain the landscapes of various properties by performing tasks such as blowing leaves and debris, trimming trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. You will also be responsible for weed mitigation and interior plant care, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained. Assessing and repairing irrigation systems will be a key part of your responsibilities, including replacing heads, repairing laterals, and adjusting nozzles as necessary. You will prune and shape trees and shrubs naturally, contributing to the aesthetic appeal of the landscapes you manage. Additionally, you will plant shrubs and groundcovers, enhancing the biodiversity of the urban forest. Your ability to assess and report landscape issues will help maintain the health and beauty of the properties you oversee. You will work independently to identify project requirements, develop timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
