Adyen is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to build and maintain scalable big data platforms. You'll work with technologies like Apache Spark and Python to support various products and developers. This position requires experience in data engineering and systems engineering.
You have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in building and maintaining scalable big data platforms. You are comfortable working with distributed systems and have a solid understanding of data processing frameworks like Apache Spark. Your technical skills include proficiency in Python and familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and machine learning scientists. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders sets you apart.
As a Data Platform Engineer at Adyen, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the foundational tooling and processes for our on-premise big data platforms. You will collaborate closely with data engineers and ML scientists to build and roll out tools that support a wide range of products and developers. Your role will involve both building new tools and improving existing ones to enhance performance and scalability.
You will work on a large-scale platform with over 500 nodes and significant processing power, ensuring that it runs efficiently and effectively. Your contributions will directly impact the performance of tens of thousands of daily jobs, enabling our teams to deliver innovative solutions to our customers. You will also be involved in the operational aspects of the platforms, ensuring they are reliable and meet the needs of our users.
