Zeeco is seeking a Fired Heater Specialist/Combustion Specialist to provide combustion solutions for various fired equipment. This role requires problem-solving skills and expertise in combustion technologies, primarily serving refining and petrochemical end users.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in combustion engineering, with experience diagnosing and providing solutions for fired equipment such as furnaces, heaters, and boilers. Your problem-solving skills are well-honed, allowing you to tackle complex issues across multiple markets and customer needs. You are comfortable traveling to different facilities to assess equipment and implement upgrades that meet environmental standards. Your expertise in combustion technologies enables you to deliver exceptional service and solutions to clients, helping to grow the business in your designated area.

You possess a deep understanding of combustion equipment, including mechanical integrity assessments and operational suitability evaluations. You are skilled in diagnosing failures and malfunctions, and you can engineer effective technical and operational solutions. Your insights into maintenance practices allow you to suggest appropriate maintenance scopes and review completed work for suitability. You are proactive in conducting preliminary surveys and generating scopes for pre-turnaround activities, ensuring that all equipment is ready for optimal performance.

Your role as an End User Combustion Consultant requires you to integrate with a global team, leveraging the expertise of Zeeco Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide comprehensive solutions. You are adept at developing scopes of inquiry that encompass all necessary aspects of combustion technology, ensuring that clients receive complete and effective solutions. You also coordinate training and educational opportunities for clients, enhancing their understanding and use of combustion technologies.

Desirable

Experience in the refining and petrochemical industries is a plus, as is familiarity with environmental compliance initiatives. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, where you can share knowledge and learn from others in the field. A background in engineering or a related technical discipline will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

In this position, you will serve as a fired equipment specialist, providing expert consultation to clients in the refining and petrochemical sectors. You will travel to various facilities to diagnose equipment issues and recommend upgrades that align with environmental initiatives. Your role will involve assessing the mechanical integrity and operational suitability of fired equipment, as well as diagnosing failures and malfunctions to engineer effective solutions.

You will conduct maintenance insights, suggesting scopes for repairs and reviewing completed maintenance work to ensure it meets industry standards. Your responsibilities will also include performing preliminary surveys of heaters and furnaces, generating pre-turnaround scopes, and providing commissioning support to ensure proper alignment and functionality of installed equipment.

As part of your role, you will integrate with Zeeco's global team, collaborating with SMEs to develop comprehensive solutions for clients. You will coordinate training and educational opportunities, helping clients understand the technologies and best practices for combustion equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering heroic service and solutions that drive business growth in your designated area.
