Who you are

You are a graduate student eager to dive into the world of cybersecurity, particularly focused on critical infrastructure. You possess a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and are keen to learn about real-world vulnerabilities. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify and replicate known vulnerabilities effectively, and you are comfortable working in a lab environment. You have a passion for technology and a desire to contribute to the security of critical infrastructure systems.

You are familiar with various cybersecurity tools and methodologies, and you are excited about the opportunity to develop and test exploits related to vulnerabilities. Your ability to produce comprehensive written reports and visual content will be essential in documenting your findings and sharing insights with your peers. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of thorough documentation in the cybersecurity field.

What you'll do

As a participant in the Cybersecurity Graduate Fellowship Program, you will engage in an immersive experience that allows you to study and mitigate real-world cybersecurity vulnerabilities. You will identify and replicate known vulnerabilities in a controlled lab environment, leveraging OPSWAT's Critical Infrastructure Lab resources. Your work will involve developing and testing exploits related to these vulnerabilities, gaining insight into hacker tactics and methods.

You will produce comprehensive written reports and visual content detailing the vulnerabilities, the reasons behind their occurrence, and their potential impact on critical infrastructure. Additionally, you will scan identified malware and vulnerabilities using OPSWAT's suite of tools, such as the MultiScanner, Deep CDR, Proactive DP, Sandbox, Neuralyzer, and Vulnerability Scanners, documenting your findings meticulously. You will also create a defense strategy that outlines protective measures against identified vulnerabilities, contributing to the overall security posture of critical infrastructure systems.
