Overview

Apple is hiring a Graphic Designer to create visually engaging graphics and illustrations for instructional content. You'll work with Adobe Creative Suite to enhance user guides and digital platforms. This position requires 4+ years of experience in print and web design.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience in print and web design, including illustration work — you've developed a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create visually engaging graphics that enhance user understanding. Your proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, allows you to produce high-quality designs that meet project objectives.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with instructional designers and writers — your ability to communicate effectively ensures that you can analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects efficiently. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you take pride in providing detailed design specifications and guidelines — you understand the importance of quality assurance and review all deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards. You are also comfortable updating process documents and procedures as needed.

Desirable

Experience with creating technical product illustrations and conceptual artwork is a plus — you have a knack for transforming complex ideas into clear visual representations. Familiarity with resizing documents and setting up style sheets in InDesign will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Graphic Designer at Apple, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging graphics and illustrations for various instructional materials, including the Tips app and user guides. You will collaborate with instructional designers to enhance the visual understanding of content through screenshots and layered Photoshop files.

Your role will involve creating technical product illustrations, diagrams, and custom icons that support user guide content — you will ensure that all graphics align with Apple's design standards and effectively communicate information to users. You will also be tasked with creating InDesign documents and templates, resizing them based on new trim sizes, and reflowing content as necessary.

You will work quickly and accurately to produce consistent design solutions that meet project objectives across the department — your ability to manage multiple projects will be crucial in this role. You will provide detailed design specifications and guidelines for Instructional Products and Localization, ensuring that all materials are up to date and accurate.

In addition to your design responsibilities, you will review and perform quality assurance on all deliverables — your keen eye for detail will help maintain the high standards expected of Apple's instructional content. You will also update process documents and procedures as needed to improve workflow efficiency.

What we offer

Apple is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace — you will be part of a team that values collaboration and creativity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe that diverse teams build better products.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that impact how users engage with Apple products — your contributions will help shape the instructional materials that guide users in their experience with our technology. Join us and be part of a team that is dedicated to creating exceptional user experiences.
