Overview

SpaceX is seeking an NDT/NDI Level II Inspector specializing in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing to perform high-quality inspections of flight components. This role requires NDE level II certification and offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking aerospace technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and hold an NDE level II certification in line with ASNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 or DoD guidance in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT). With at least 2 years of experience as a level II NDE/NDT inspector, you are well-versed in performing surface and volumetric NDE inspections. You possess strong skills in interpreting and evaluating engineering drawings, and you can effectively communicate and report findings to production and engineering teams. Your commitment to continuous improvement drives you to support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries and to assist in the research and development of future ultrasonic technology for operational enhancements. You also enjoy mentoring and training others within your team, fostering a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

As an NDT/NDI Level II Inspector at SpaceX, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality inspections of flight components and production assemblies across various programs, including Falcon, Dragon, Starship, and Raptor. You will engage with the inspection process, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement to help execute SpaceX's mission of making humanity interplanetary. Your role will involve interpreting and evaluating inspection results, communicating findings to relevant teams, and supporting the development of new inspection techniques. You will also play a key role in training and developing other team members, ensuring that the team maintains high standards of quality and efficiency in inspections. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and reliability of SpaceX's cutting-edge aerospace technologies.
