Appen is seeking Javanese Speakers to contribute to AI LLM evaluation. You'll review model-generated replies for tone and fluency, requiring native-level fluency in Javanese and strong comprehension of English. This is a project-based opportunity with flexible hours.
You are a native-level Javanese speaker with strong comprehension of English, residing in Indonesia. You are looking for a flexible work opportunity that allows you to contribute to the advancement of AI technology from the comfort of your home. You can commit to working approximately 25 hours per week and are eager to participate in a project that shapes the future of AI in your native language.
In this role, you will join Project Spearmint, a multilingual AI response evaluation project. Your primary responsibility will be to review short, pre-segmented datasets and evaluate model-generated replies based on tone and fluency. You will read a user prompt and two model replies, then rate each using a five-point scale. Additionally, you will provide short rationales for extreme ratings, helping to ensure the quality and effectiveness of AI responses.
You will work on two main batches: the first focusing on tone, where you will determine if replies are helpful, engaging, fair, and appropriately formal. You will flag issues such as condescension, bias, or tonal mismatches. The second batch will assess fluency, evaluating grammatical accuracy, clarity, coherence, and natural flow of the responses. Your insights will directly contribute to the development of cutting-edge language models.
