SpaceX is seeking an NDT/NDI Level II Inspector specializing in Radiographic Testing to perform high-quality inspections of flight components. This role requires NDE level II certification and experience in nondestructive evaluation.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and hold an NDE level II certification in line with ASNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 or DoD guidance in Radiographic Testing (RT). With at least 2 years of experience as a level II NDE/NDT inspector, you are well-versed in performing surface and volumetric NDE inspections. You possess the ability to interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report findings effectively to production and engineering teams. Your experience includes interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings as required, and you are eager to support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries. You are also interested in assisting with the research and development of future ultrasonic technology for operational improvements and enjoy training and developing others within your team.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality inspections of flight components and production assemblies across various SpaceX programs, including Falcon, Dragon, Starship, and Raptor. You will engage with the inspection process to provide continuous improvement, ensuring that all inspections meet the high standards set by SpaceX. Your responsibilities will include interpreting and evaluating inspection results, communicating findings to relevant teams, and supporting the development of new inspection techniques. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring junior inspectors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Your contributions will directly impact the mission of making humanity interplanetary, as you ensure the integrity and safety of critical components used in space exploration.
