What you'll do

As a Staff Backend Engineer at Censys, you will design and build services that power existing and future products — your work will directly impact how customers interact with our Internet intelligence platform. You will collaborate with the Internet Map Connections team to develop scalable solutions that enhance our data collection methods and improve service delivery.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the services you build — this includes implementing monitoring solutions and responding to incidents to maintain high availability. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, sharing your expertise, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

You will engage in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into technical requirements — your insights will help shape the direction of our products and services. You will also participate in code reviews, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the codebase remains maintainable and scalable.
