Who you are

You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong mechanical aptitude, ready to take on the responsibilities of a Structures Technician at SpaceX. You have experience in modification, repair, assembly, and installation of complex structures, ideally in aerospace or a related field. What you'll do

As a Structures Technician, you will be responsible for the modification, repair, assembly, and installation of rocket and spacecraft components. You will utilize tooling holes and pilot holes as required, ensuring that parts are aligned and secured using clecos or tooling/hand clamps. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you check for good edge margins and alignment, shim and trim parts as necessary, and select the appropriate drill bits and tools for various tasks. You will drill pilot holes and full-size holes, ensuring that all work is completed in the correct sequence and to the specified sizes. Additionally, you will disassemble parts and deburr holes to prepare for fastener installation, applying sealants and adhesives as needed. Handling and disposing of hazardous materials safely will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
