Carvana is hiring a Transport Driver to operate motor vehicles for transport, pickup, and delivery in support of auction activities. You'll ensure the safe movement and staging of vehicles at the auction site. This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
You are at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. You have basic computer skills and are comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. You understand the importance of safety and courtesy while driving and are committed to following auction driving rules and principles.
You are detail-oriented and capable of performing vehicle inspections before moving them, noting any damage. You are able to assist customers, including dealers and account representatives, ensuring a smooth experience during vehicle pickup and delivery. You thrive in a role that requires both independence and teamwork, as you will be working closely with supervisors and team leaders.
As a Transport Driver at Carvana, you will operate motor vehicles on and off the premises to support auction activities. Your primary responsibilities will include safely moving, staging, and parking vehicles in designated areas to facilitate the flow of vehicles for the car auction. You will verify the VIN of cars being picked up and delivered, ensuring accuracy against transportation requests. On sale days, you will drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes, adhering to all safety protocols.
In addition to driving, you will perform basic maintenance tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles when necessary. You will also fill gas tanks when vehicles are low on fuel. Your role will require you to assist customers and co-workers as needed, contributing to a positive and efficient auction environment. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that vehicles are parked in the correct order as directed by your supervisors.
