Who you are

You have extensive experience in data science, particularly in leveraging machine learning techniques to drive business value. Your background includes working with advanced models such as boosted trees and neural networks, and you are comfortable with Python for data analysis and model development. You thrive in collaborative environments, working across teams to integrate solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

You possess a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to identify strategic opportunities within data sets and translate them into actionable insights. Your experience includes designing comprehensive systems for data capture and operational processes, ensuring that your solutions are not only effective but also sustainable in the long term. You are passionate about using AI and ML to solve complex problems and are eager to explore new methodologies to enhance business performance.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale data systems and familiarity with experimentation frameworks will be advantageous. A background in pricing optimization or customer support automation will set you apart, as will any exposure to agentic AI methodologies.

What you'll do

As a Staff Data Scientist at Paddle, you will lead the charge in identifying and researching AI and ML opportunities that can generate significant business value. You will collaborate with various teams to explore how machine learning can optimize pricing strategies and automate customer support processes. Your role will involve end-to-end model development, from initial research and design through to deployment and integration into existing systems.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive data capture systems and operational processes that support your machine learning initiatives. This includes creating experimentation frameworks that allow for continuous improvement and feedback mechanisms to refine your models over time. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior data scientists and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
