Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience, showcasing your expertise in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle issues. Your background includes extensive knowledge of both traditional and advanced vehicle systems, including electric and hybrid vehicles. You are skilled in performing heavy engine work and advanced vehicle diagnostics, ensuring that all repairs meet high-quality standards. You are familiar with repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues and have experience installing, repairing, and replacing vehicle refrigerant and recovery systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety make you a valuable asset in any automotive repair environment.

Desirable

While not required, additional certifications such as ASE would enhance your candidacy. Experience with high-tech tools and equipment in a modern inspection center is a plus, as is a willingness to participate in ongoing training programs to further develop your skills.

What you'll do

As a Senior Auto Mechanic at Carvana, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on all makes and models of vehicles. You will utilize state-of-the-art tools in our high-tech Inspection Centers to ensure that each vehicle is repaired to the highest standards. Your role will involve extensive repairs and heavy engine work, as well as diagnosing complex vehicle electrical issues. You will collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor entry-level technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
