Overview

Axon is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I for their Connected Devices Cloud team to drive the architecture of cloud services for first responders. You'll work with Java and cloud technologies to create reliable solutions. This position requires strong system design skills and experience in building highly-available systems.

You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building cloud-based systems that are both highly available and low-latency. You excel at turning complex, data-intensive challenges into elegant solutions, and your technical leadership influences multiple teams. You are passionate about creating products that matter, especially in the context of safety and justice.

Your expertise in Java and cloud technologies allows you to make informed decisions on system architecture. You enjoy mentoring other engineers and have a knack for understanding customer needs, which helps you innovate solutions that truly address their problems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers and designers to ensure the right solutions are built for users.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer I at Axon, you will lead the architecture and evolution of cloud services that power connected devices for first responders. Your role will involve designing and implementing scalable systems that can handle high volumes of data while maintaining reliability.
