Senior Software Engineer

Who you are

You are an experienced software engineer with a strong background in modern embedded C++ and Python, having worked on complex real-time systems. You have a deep understanding of software-defined-radio and real-time data-processing systems, enabling you to design and implement robust solutions that enhance connectivity for users in critical situations. Your experience includes working on Linux-based systems, particularly with AMD and Xilinx SoCs, and you are comfortable developing operation procedures in Python or Go.

You thrive in collaborative environments where creativity and innovation are encouraged. You have a proven track record of cross-team coordination and execution of software releases, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and operating a complex real-time software system that supports satellite connectivity. You will develop software-defined-radio systems on Linux, ensuring they run efficiently on a globally-distributed heterogeneous compute platform. Your work will directly impact the safety and connectivity of millions of Apple device users, as you contribute to critical services like Emergency SOS and Roadside assistance.

You will coordinate with various teams to execute software releases and lead hardware-software integrated test campaigns. Your role will also involve developing and deploying operational procedures for cloud-based control and monitoring systems, ensuring that all systems are optimized for performance and reliability.
