Apple is seeking a Maintenance Technician-Facilities & Lab Systems to ensure the reliability of building systems and lab environments. You'll work with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support R&D activities in San Diego.
You have 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, specifically supporting HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Your background includes technical trade certificate education, apprenticeship, military training, or equivalent work experience. You possess a working knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and equipment monitoring platforms, enabling you to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively. You are comfortable lifting 50 lbs., working from ladders, and entering mechanical spaces safely. Additionally, you are adept at working around energized equipment, utilities, and chemicals while adhering to safety protocols with proper PPE.
In this role, you will support the full environment that enables Apple’s laboratory and R&D activities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring uptime, safety, and performance across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will directly support critical R&D lab equipment and utilities, ensuring that the facilities are conducive to innovation. You will join a facility operations team that values craftsmanship and precision, dedicated to keeping Apple’s innovation environments running at their best.
