SpaceX is seeking a Launch Pad Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on launch critical systems. You'll work with heavy machinery and collaborate with a team to ensure successful launches. This role requires hands-on experience in maintenance and repair.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of hands-on experience in assembly, test, maintenance, repair, and/or installation. You are detail-oriented and capable of providing feedback to leadership and engineering about launch pad systems and components. Your experience includes working with high-pressure pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems, and you may have an associate degree in aerospace technology or a related field. You are comfortable operating heavy machinery, including forklifts and aerial platforms, and you thrive in a team environment where quality and safety are paramount.
As a Launch Pad Technician at SpaceX, you will perform daily scheduled preventative maintenance or repairs of launch critical systems and components. You will troubleshoot issues found during maintenance inspections of fluid and mechanical systems, ensuring that every system is maintained to support a 100% successful launch of a multi-million dollar launch vehicle. You will assist other technicians during launches with vehicle roll-out, launch procedures, and post-launch securing. Additionally, you will work closely with fluids technicians during post-launch pad refurbishments and modifications, contributing to the overall success of SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars.
