Agoda is hiring a Lead Backend Engineer to develop robust backend systems and architect scalable data solutions in the FinTech sector. You'll work with technologies like Java and Big Data. This position requires significant experience in backend engineering.
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in the FinTech domain — you've developed and maintained robust backend systems and understand the intricacies of financial technology. Your expertise in Java is complemented by a strong grasp of Big Data technologies, enabling you to handle large-scale data processing efficiently.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including finance business partners and product owners — your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a key asset. You are passionate about reducing risk and driving efficiencies in financial processes, and you enjoy tackling challenges that require innovative solutions.
Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus — you are familiar with deploying applications in cloud environments and understand the benefits of microservices in enhancing scalability and maintainability.
