JFrog is hiring a Software Architect to provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams in building next-generation products. You'll work with Java, Go, and JavaScript to define architectural approaches and oversee engineering priorities. This position requires 5+ years of experience in software architecture.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software architecture and design processes, working on complex systems that require a deep understanding of both technical and business needs. Your background includes hands-on technical leadership in a Principal Engineer or Technical Lead role, where you've successfully guided teams through architectural challenges and innovations. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership, ensuring that your work meets high standards of quality and consistency.

Your experience includes 2+ years of hands-on work with B2B systems and the design of external APIs, which has equipped you with the ability to negotiate trade-offs and drive issues to closure effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working both independently and as an equal peer with engineering teams to achieve common goals. Your technical expertise spans multiple programming languages, including Java, Go, and JavaScript, allowing you to contribute to various aspects of software development.

What you'll do

As a Software Architect at JFrog, you will define architectural approaches and create detailed technical specifications that guide engineering teams in building innovative products. You will develop architectural proofs of concept, research technical innovations, and evaluate new technologies to ensure that JFrog remains at the forefront of the DevOps landscape. Your role will involve providing architectural oversight and guidance to engineering teams, helping them navigate complex technical challenges while aligning with business requirements and market trends.

You will collaborate closely with Product Management to understand the needs of customers and the direction of the market, ensuring that the architectural vision supports the company's strategic goals. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing code and performing acceptance testing to maintain quality and consistency with the architectural vision. By steering the architectural and engineering priorities of the company, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of JFrog's product offerings.
