Overview

SpaceX is hiring an NDE Level II Inspector specializing in Radiographic Testing to perform high-quality inspections of flight components and production assemblies. This role requires NDE level II certification and offers the opportunity to work on diverse inspection types across various programs.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and hold an NDE level II certification in line with ASNT-TC-1A or NAS-410 or DoD guidance in Radiographic Testing (RT). With 2+ years of experience as a level II NDE/NDT inspector, you possess a strong understanding of nondestructive evaluation techniques and are committed to delivering high-quality inspections. You are detail-oriented and capable of interpreting engineering drawings, which allows you to effectively communicate findings to production and engineering teams. Your experience has equipped you with the skills necessary to support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries and to assist in the research and development of future ultrasonic technology for operational improvements. You are also enthusiastic about training and developing others within your team, fostering a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

As an NDE Level II Inspector at SpaceX, you will perform surface and volumetric NDE inspections on flight components and production assemblies. Your role will involve interpreting, evaluating, communicating, and reporting your findings to both production and engineering teams. You will support the development of NDE inspection techniques tailored for complex geometries, ensuring that the inspection processes are efficient and effective. Additionally, you will engage in research and development efforts aimed at enhancing ultrasonic technology, contributing to operational improvements. Training and mentoring other team members will also be a key part of your responsibilities, as you help to build a knowledgeable and skilled inspection team.
