Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in security engineering with a focus on vulnerability management — you understand the intricacies of application, infrastructure, and cloud security and have experience leading programs that enhance security posture. You are proficient in using tools like GitHub and Docker to automate security processes and have a solid understanding of AWS and Python for scripting and automation tasks.
You possess excellent analytical skills and can develop metrics and reporting frameworks that provide insights into security vulnerabilities — your experience includes working with various security tools such as Burp Suite and Snyk to identify and remediate vulnerabilities effectively. You are familiar with OWASP guidelines and have a proactive approach to security, ensuring that secure-by-design practices are integrated into the development lifecycle.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end vulnerability management program, overseeing detection, triage, remediation, and reporting workflows across multiple security domains. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to ensure that security practices are embedded in the development process. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure the effectiveness of the vulnerability management program.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining automation pipelines for vulnerability detection and response, leveraging tools like Terraform and Kubernetes to streamline processes. Your role will involve developing critical security metrics and reporting mechanisms to communicate the status of vulnerabilities and remediation efforts to stakeholders. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization, ensuring that all team members understand their responsibilities in maintaining a secure environment.
