Your expertise in AWS and Linux allows you to maintain high operational standards and ensure system reliability. You are proficient in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform, which you use to streamline operations and reduce manual effort. Your programming skills in Python enable you to develop scripts that enhance system performance and efficiency. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams and client stakeholders to define incident response protocols and prepare runbooks. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker is a plus, as is familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog or Grafana. A background in agile methodologies will help you adapt to the fast-paced nature of the role, and any certifications in cloud technologies will further bolster your candidacy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of infrastructure and responding promptly to incidents, ensuring that all services meet the key performance indicators defined by the business. You will take the lead in defining and documenting responses to various incident scenarios, collaborating with the SRE team to prepare comprehensive runbooks. Your proactive approach will involve setting up communication channels across service functions and coordinating incident response efforts, including establishing war rooms when necessary. You will also focus on reducing human effort in day-to-day operations by implementing automation solutions that leverage the latest technology stacks. Your vigilance will ensure that the operations of shipped products and services are continuously monitored and optimized, aligning with modern standards and sustainable practices.
