Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines that support analytics and machine learning initiatives. Your expertise in cloud environments, particularly AWS, allows you to design scalable solutions that handle large volumes of data efficiently.
You are proficient in SQL and have hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery. Your familiarity with data orchestration tools like Airflow enables you to automate workflows and ensure data integrity across systems. You understand the importance of data quality and have implemented best practices to maintain it.
You possess strong programming skills in Python, which you use to develop data processing scripts and integrate various data sources. Your experience with Docker allows you to create reproducible environments for data applications, ensuring consistency across development and production.
You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with product and data teams to transform raw data into actionable insights. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective bridge between engineering and business needs.
Desirable
Experience with real-time data processing frameworks like Kafka is a plus, as is familiarity with Elasticsearch for search and analytics capabilities. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks will help you contribute to advanced analytics projects.
