Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and building data pipelines that support analytics and operational reporting. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to create efficient data models and transformations that deliver reliable insights.
You are familiar with cloud data warehousing environments and have experience optimizing data storage and processing performance. You understand the importance of data quality and have implemented validation and monitoring processes to ensure trust in the data.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with analytics, product, and business teams to translate data needs into technical solutions. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective partner in cross-functional projects.
Desirable
Experience with tools like Airflow for orchestrating data workflows and AWS for cloud infrastructure is a plus. Familiarity with BigQuery or similar data warehousing solutions will enhance your ability to contribute to our modern data platform.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Engineer at Contentful, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that integrate multiple systems and sources. You will develop high-quality data models that support various analytics and reporting use cases, ensuring that the data is clean, reliable, and actionable.
You will partner with analytics and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. Implementing strong data quality measures, you will monitor and validate data to maintain its integrity.
