Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or equivalent preferred. With over 5 years of accounting experience, you possess strong hands-on knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes. Your expertise in managing full-cycle accounting ensures that you can oversee complex financial transactions and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, which allows you to ensure that all financial entries are accurate and compliant. Your experience includes leading accounts payable operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely invoice processing. You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-functionally with operations and procurement to improve accounting workflows.
What you'll do
As the Controller at AccuWeather, you will oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close. You will manage accounts receivable and billing processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections while overseeing credit risk. Your role will also involve leading accounts payable operations, including vendor management and payment scheduling.
You will maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards. Additionally, you will support cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization through close monitoring of AR/AP performance. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various departments to identify and implement opportunities to automate or streamline accounting processes and systems.
