Who you are
You have extensive experience in Linux system administration, both on bare metal and in virtualized environments â your familiarity with storage technologies such as iSCSI, RAID, and SDS allows you to manage complex infrastructures effectively. You understand the principles of infrastructure-as-code and have hands-on experience using Ansible and shell scripting to automate tasks and ensure consistent configurations.
You are proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring that service level objectives (SLOs) are met. Your ability to implement monitoring solutions using tools like Zabbix and Prometheus demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high availability and performance of systems. You are detail-oriented, maintaining thorough documentation and configuration repositories to support operational excellence.
What you'll do
In this role, you will deploy, manage, and upgrade Linux servers, ensuring they run efficiently on both bare metal and virtualized environments. You will utilize Ansible for consistent provisioning and configuration, streamlining the deployment process across the infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing infrastructure monitoring, implementing new checks, and retiring obsolete ones to maintain optimal performance.
You will collaborate with other teams to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and you may need to work outside of business hours in case of emergencies. Based on your operational experience, you will design and implement infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing security, stability, performance, and efficiency. Your role will also involve maintaining documentation and the configuration repository to support ongoing operations and knowledge sharing within the team.
