Who you are
You have extensive experience in Linux system administration, both on bare metal and in virtualized environments — your familiarity with deploying, managing, and upgrading Linux servers makes you a strong candidate for this role. You understand storage technologies including iSCSI, RAID, and SDS, which are crucial for maintaining robust infrastructure. Your knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles, particularly with Ansible, allows you to ensure consistent provisioning and configuration across systems.
You are proactive in managing infrastructure monitoring tools like Zabbix and Prometheus — your ability to implement new monitoring checks and retire obsolete ones ensures that systems remain efficient and reliable. When problems arise, you are quick to diagnose and fix issues, ensuring that service level objectives (SLOs) are consistently met. Your operational experience informs your approach to designing and implementing infrastructure improvements that enhance security, stability, performance, and efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support Acronis's internal IT systems and virtualization platforms, playing a key part in creating a #CyberFit future. You will deploy, update, and maintain distributed virtualization clusters, working closely with other teams to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Your responsibilities will include maintaining documentation and the configuration repository, which are essential for operational transparency and efficiency.
You will also be involved in occasional work outside of business hours in case of emergencies, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining system uptime and reliability. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and security of Acronis's internal systems, making you an integral part of the team.
