You are a proactive and driven Senior Security Detection and Monitoring Engineer with a strong focus on Security Operations, Detection Engineering, Threat Detection, and Incident Response. With advanced Python development skills, you are adept at implementing complex detection logic and improving detection capabilities within the Adyen ecosystem. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with security, product, development, and infrastructure teams to create meaningful detections and respond effectively to triggered alerts.

You have a solid understanding of security solutions and are motivated to automate difficult manual tasks while investigating security incidents. Your experience in building and operating security detection and response systems sets you apart, as you are committed to delivering innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.

Desirable

Experience with security monitoring tools and frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with incident response protocols. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to tackle unique technical challenges at scale.

What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining security solutions that enhance detection capabilities across the Adyen ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include implementing detection logic in the in-house developed security monitoring tool, automating manual tasks, and investigating security incidents to improve overall security posture.

You will play a key role in building a highly effective security detection and response system, ensuring that the organization is prepared to handle potential threats. Your collaboration with other team members will be crucial in creating meaningful detections and responding to alerts in a timely manner. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of security practices within the organization, sharing your insights and expertise with colleagues.
