You possess strong programming skills in Java and Python, enabling you to design and implement high-performance streaming services. Your experience includes deploying applications in production environments and ensuring their reliability and scalability. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to enhance system performance.

You are a strong communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of learning within your team. You are passionate about building innovative solutions that empower users to make data-driven decisions.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. You may also have experience in observability tools and practices, which can enhance the reliability of the systems you build.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable streaming services that support critical operations across Adyen. You will work closely with product engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure that the streaming solutions you create meet their requirements. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the infrastructure that powers real-time data processing, ensuring high availability and performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement in the streaming platform and implement enhancements that drive efficiency. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise, ensuring that the services you build are reliable and robust.

As part of the Streaming Platform team, you will contribute to the architectural decisions that shape the future of Adyen's data capabilities. You will participate in code reviews and provide feedback to your peers, helping to maintain high coding standards and best practices within the team.
