Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on performance engineering and optimization. Your background includes managing production databases in cloud environments, particularly AWS, and you are well-versed in SQL and database design principles. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with DevOps Engineers and Application Software Engineers to resolve complex performance issues. Your analytical mindset allows you to troubleshoot effectively and implement solutions that enhance system performance.
You possess a deep understanding of various database technologies, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, and you are comfortable with both relational and non-relational database systems. Your experience includes designing and implementing database architectures that support scalable applications. You are proactive in identifying potential performance bottlenecks and have a track record of optimizing database queries and configurations to improve efficiency.
You are a strong communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge of best practices in database management and performance tuning. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in the database domain.
Desirable
Experience with NoSQL databases and familiarity with data integration tools would be a plus. Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards is also beneficial, as is experience in a SaaS environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of database servers that support Agiloft's production customer SaaS applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and product specialists, to troubleshoot and resolve performance challenges in production services. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that database designs are optimal for new enhancements and that performance metrics are consistently met.
You will participate in the product development process, providing insights on database architecture and performance considerations for new features. Your role will involve monitoring database performance, conducting regular audits, and implementing best practices for database management. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining documentation related to database configurations and performance tuning strategies.
As part of your responsibilities, you will engage in capacity planning and scaling strategies to accommodate growth in user demand. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that database solutions align with application requirements and performance expectations. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of Agiloft's contract lifecycle management platform.
