Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in security engineering, particularly in product security, with hands-on experience in threat modeling and vulnerability detection. You understand the importance of integrating security into the software development lifecycle and have a passion for building secure products. Your ability to work closely with engineering teams and product managers allows you to identify risks early and reduce vulnerabilities effectively.
You are familiar with secure-by-design practices and have experience in security testing methodologies. Your technical skills include using tools like Burp Suite and knowledge of OWASP principles, which help you ensure that security is a priority throughout the development process. You thrive in collaborative environments and can communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will partner with engineering teams to implement security best practices and ensure that security is integrated into how teams design, build, test, and release software. You will conduct threat modeling sessions to identify potential security risks and work on vulnerability detection and remediation strategies. Your hands-on approach will involve performing security testing and providing actionable insights to help teams improve their security posture.
You will also support the development of secure coding practices and assist in creating training materials for engineering teams to raise awareness about security issues.
