Overview
Airwallex is hiring a Senior Product Manager for their Payments team to drive product strategy and execution. You'll work on a unified payments platform for global businesses. This position requires strong expertise in product management and a passion for financial technology.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in the payments or financial technology sector — you've successfully led product initiatives from conception to launch, demonstrating your ability to balance strategic thinking with execution. You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable using data to inform product decisions, ensuring that your strategies are grounded in real-world insights.
Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing — you understand the importance of aligning diverse stakeholders around a common vision and are skilled at facilitating discussions that drive consensus. You are a strong communicator, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You are passionate about building products that solve real problems for users — you thrive on feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the user experience. Your curiosity drives you to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in the payments landscape, allowing you to anticipate market needs and position your products effectively.
You have a track record of using agile methodologies to manage product development — you are comfortable with iterative processes and understand how to prioritize features based on user feedback and business goals. You are adept at defining success metrics and using them to measure the impact of your product initiatives.
Desirable
Experience with AI and machine learning applications in product management is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory considerations in the financial sector. A background in software development or technical product management can also enhance your ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Manager at Airwallex, you will own the product roadmap for our payments solutions, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. You will conduct market research and user interviews to identify pain points and opportunities, translating these insights into actionable product requirements. You will work closely with engineering and design teams to develop and launch new features, ensuring that they meet user needs and deliver value.
You will lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch — this includes defining user stories, prioritizing the backlog, and facilitating sprint planning sessions. You will also be responsible for monitoring product performance post-launch, using analytics to assess user engagement and satisfaction, and iterating on the product based on feedback.
Collaboration with marketing will be key as you develop go-to-market strategies for new product features — you will ensure that messaging resonates with target audiences and that sales teams are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively promote the product. You will also engage with customers to gather feedback and insights that will inform future product enhancements.
What we offer
At Airwallex, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is reshaping the future of payments. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work on impactful projects that make a difference for businesses around the world, all while collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry. Join us in our mission to empower global businesses with seamless financial solutions.
