You have a compelling portfolio demonstrating outstanding UX design, showcasing your ability to create user-centered solutions that delight clients and users. With excellent communication skills, you can make complex topics understandable and present your ideas logically to stakeholders. Your writing and editing skills are top-notch, allowing you to craft effective, on-brand microcopy that enhances user experiences. You are experienced in planning and executing core UX deliverables, including heuristic and IA audits, ecosystem maps, personas, customer journeys, service blueprints, and wireframes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working across disciplines in both agile and waterfall processes to deliver impactful solutions quickly. As a mentor, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with peers and guiding mid/junior designers to grow their skills.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play an essential part in balancing business, customer, and technical requirements to craft blueprints for solutions that delight clients and users. You will lead and inspire your team, ensuring that best practices and trends are followed to keep AKQA at the forefront of the industry. Your responsibilities will include presenting to business stakeholders to help them make informed decisions that strengthen their business. You will keep on top of best practices and trends in UX design, ensuring that your work is innovative and impactful. You will collaborate closely with strategists, researchers, and technologists to create beautiful and meaningful brand experiences for both Japanese and overseas markets. Your role will also involve executing core UX deliverables and mentoring junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
