What you'll do
As Legal Counsel at Akuna, you will lead the North American legal function, overseeing a wide range of legal matters that impact the firm. You will negotiate and manage trading, vendor, and market-facing agreements, ensuring that they meet the firm's standards and protect its interests. Your role will involve drafting and implementing policies that align with corporate governance requirements, as well as advising on HR and employment matters. You will collaborate closely with senior management and various business teams to provide legal guidance that supports the firm's strategic objectives. Additionally, you will oversee corporate governance documents and intercompany agreements, ensuring compliance with global operational and tax structures. Your expertise will be crucial in managing regulatory and securities law updates, as well as handling litigation matters when they arise.
