You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in full-stack development, where you've designed and implemented end-to-end features that enhance user experience. Your expertise in Java and JavaScript allows you to build robust applications that meet user needs effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product teams to challenge assumptions and drive innovative solutions. Your ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code is complemented by your commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.

You are comfortable with system architecture and non-functional requirements, ensuring that the solutions you deliver are not only functional but also scalable and efficient. You have experience with peer reviews and understand the importance of feedback in the development process. Your problem-solving skills enable you to break down complex tasks into manageable components, and you excel at estimating and refining work in alignment with team goals.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies. You may also have exposure to DevOps practices, which enhance your ability to deliver features iteratively and efficiently. A background in Fintech or working with SMEs would be advantageous, as it aligns with Allica Bank's mission to serve underserved business customers.

What you'll do

You will scope work into tasks, estimate timelines, and align with your team to ensure smooth project execution. Your implementation efforts will include writing clean, testable code and conducting thorough testing using a combination of unit tests and integration tests. You will also be involved in keeping the platform operational, addressing any issues that arise, and ensuring a seamless experience for users.
