Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree from a top-tier institute and possess a solid foundation in quantitative research methodologies. Your experience includes data analysis, market research, and data modeling, which are essential for identifying and enhancing trading strategies. You have software development experience, preferably in C++, Python, or R/MATLAB, which allows you to automate trading strategies effectively. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining a keen attention to detail. Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly with technology experts to improve electronic trading systems. You have a detailed knowledge of risk management procedures, ensuring that all trading activities are conducted within established risk parameters.
Desirable
Experience with financial model construction and back-testing is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to contribute to the development of robust trading strategies. Familiarity with statistical theories and their application in financial time series data analysis will further strengthen your profile. A working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is also beneficial, as it aligns with the technical environment at AlphaGrep.
What you'll do
As a Quantitative Researcher at AlphaGrep, you will be responsible for identifying, maintaining, and enhancing trading strategies that generate alpha across various asset classes. You will analyze trading performance and financial time series data using fundamental statistical theories, applying a systematic and data-driven approach to automate trading strategies. Your role will involve financial model construction, back-testing, and ongoing maintenance and improvement of these models to ensure their effectiveness in real-world trading scenarios. You will collaborate closely with the technology team to understand, maintain, and improve our electronic trading systems, ensuring that they are optimized for performance and reliability. Additionally, you will manage risk effectively, adhering to all risk procedures while contributing to the firm's overall trading strategy.
