You possess a deep understanding of data strategy and evaluation harness design, which allows you to effectively integrate frontier models into practical applications. Your experience shipping ML capabilities in high-stakes or regulated domains, such as healthcare or finance, has equipped you with the skills necessary to navigate complex challenges. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, clinical, and compliance, to ensure that AI systems are safe, reliable, and economically viable.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define the technical vision for leveraging frontier models within Amazon Health Science & Analytics. You will guide the development of proprietary domain models and ensure that the AI systems you help create are capable of compounding differentiation over time. Your responsibilities will include serving as a senior technical advisor on frontier-model integration and data strategy, as well as overseeing the evaluation and safety architecture of the AI systems.

You will partner closely with various teams to ensure that the AI system adheres to high quality, safety, and regulatory constraints. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare technology at Amazon, as you work to build a high-reliability inference system that meets the needs of customers and stakeholders alike. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior researchers and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.
