You are a current MS or PhD student with a strong interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence. You have a solid understanding of various domains such as deep learning, generative AI, and computer vision, and you are eager to apply your knowledge to real-world problems. You are comfortable writing technical white papers and creating roadmaps for projects, demonstrating your ability to think critically and strategically.

What you'll do

As an Applied Scientist Intern, you will take ownership of the design and development of end-to-end systems that support Amazon Science. You will collaborate closely with Amazon scientists and fellow interns to develop innovative solutions and deploy them into production. Your responsibilities will include designing new algorithms and models, as well as implementing technical solutions that enhance Amazon's customer-focused culture. You will have the opportunity to write technical documentation and contribute to the overall success of the projects you work on.

You will engage in hands-on work that allows you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, gaining valuable experience in the field of applied science. You will also have the chance to participate in discussions about the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, further enriching your understanding of the industry.
