Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience building models for business applications, showcasing your ability to translate complex problems into effective solutions. Your academic background includes a PhD or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, complemented by a strong portfolio of patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
You are proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python, and have a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures. Your experience extends to parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, and parallel and distributed computing, which equips you to tackle diverse challenges in model development. You are also familiar with Unix/Linux environments, enhancing your capability in professional software development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be at the forefront of improving shopping experiences on Amazon by leveraging the conversational capabilities of large language models. You will collaborate with a talented team of scientists, engineers, and technical program managers to innovate and develop multimodal and agentic LLMs. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with Amazon, making their shopping experience more intuitive and engaging.
You will engage in the design and implementation of advanced machine learning models, focusing on vision-language multimodal modeling and reinforcement learning. Your contributions will help unlock new shopping experiences, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in e-commerce. You will also be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on model designs to ensure optimal performance.
