You have a strong background in applied science, particularly in AI and machine learning, with a focus on natural language processing and computer vision. Your experience includes researching, designing, and building models that translate into impactful technologies. You possess excellent collaboration skills, having worked closely with engineers and product managers to document and explain your progress in business reviews. You are also active in the scientific community, participating in education and growth activities, and you have a passion for innovation using AI.

Experience with publishing research in internal or external conferences is a plus. Familiarity with the Manga industry or similar domains can enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will lead AI-related efforts within the JP Manga team, focusing on developing new prototypes and concepts. Your responsibilities will include researching and designing models for natural language processing tasks such as automatic translation, summarization, and extraction, as well as image processing tasks like boundary detection and image generation.
You will collaborate with other scientists and engineers to build, review, and improve model design proposals. Your role will also involve partnering with product managers and business stakeholders to ensure that your technical insights align with business objectives. You will document your progress and be the technical voice for your product in business reviews.
Additionally, you will spot opportunities for innovation using AI in the Manga business and contribute to the community by participating in science education and growth activities. Your work will have a direct impact on enhancing customer experiences and driving business success.
