Who you are
You have a strong background in automation engineering, with experience in maximizing equipment reliability and operational performance. Your expertise in troubleshooting complex control systems has been honed through hands-on experience, and you are adept at analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. You enjoy mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment systems. Your technical leadership is complemented by your ability to implement innovative projects and develop system design improvements that enhance site throughput.
You are familiar with state-of-the-art technology, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs. Your problem-solving skills allow you to tackle challenges effectively, ensuring that operational goals are met while maintaining Amazon's high standards of speed and accuracy. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about building team capabilities to achieve shared objectives.
What you'll do
As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, working tirelessly to ensure that all robotics and material handling equipment are functioning optimally. You will provide proactive controls automation and technical support, troubleshooting complex control systems to maintain operational performance. Your responsibilities will include analyzing performance metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site throughput.
You will lead cross-functional teams in optimizing material handling equipment systems, implementing innovative projects that contribute to operational excellence. Your role will involve mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the equipment meets the demands of Amazon's fast-paced fulfillment centers, directly impacting the customer experience.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $90,000.00 - $112,500.00 USD annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program.
