Who you are
You have a strong background in automation engineering with a focus on control systems, having worked in environments that require high reliability and operational efficiency. Your experience includes engaging directly with field operations, commissioning new facilities, and providing ongoing support for existing sites. You are skilled in data analytics and statistics, using these tools to drive continuous improvement and optimize performance metrics.
You possess excellent project management skills, enabling you to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring that all aspects of change management and training are effectively executed. Your ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high standards of reliability and efficiency in operations.
You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments, always looking for ways to enhance system performance and operational workflows. Your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that best practices are shared and implemented across the organization.
Desirable
Experience with robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) is a plus, as is familiarity with global support mechanisms and system performance monitoring tools. What you'll do
As a Senior Regional Automation Engineer, you will engage in all aspects of high-level support for control systems within a region of Amazon sites. This includes direct field engagement for both launch and existing facilities, where you will be responsible for commissioning, on-call support, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead change management efforts and project management activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
You will utilize your expertise in statistics and data analytics to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Your role will involve developing and implementing optimal code and parameter sets, as well as performance metrics and feedback mechanisms to ensure the reliability of our equipment. You will also be responsible for training team members and disseminating best practices across the organization.
