You have a strong background in automation engineering, with experience in monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems. You are skilled in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, and you have a solid understanding of control systems and sensors. Your expertise in data analysis allows you to provide valuable insights into system performance and availability. You are proactive in identifying areas for continuous improvement and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. You have experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and are familiar with IEC 61131-3 standards. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate documentation and backup libraries for all systems.

What you'll do

As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for ensuring that our automated systems operate at peak efficiency. You will monitor key systems, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment as necessary to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with the EU Controls network to analyze MHE metrics and provide data visualizations to internal stakeholders. Your role will involve participating in continuous improvement projects, working closely with different departments to ensure proper documentation and system backups. You will also support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, working with global colleagues to enhance our automation capabilities. Your day-to-day tasks will include interpreting technical drawings and developing strategies for system improvements, ensuring that our automated processes meet the highest standards of performance.
