Amazon is hiring a Principal in Government Relations, Public Policy for the DACH region. You'll develop campaigns advocating for customer-centric policies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role requires significant experience in public policy advocacy.
Job Description
Who you are
You have significant experience in public policy advocacy and campaigning, with a strong knowledge of digital, consumer, economic, and competition policy. You understand the policy landscape and can effectively communicate complex issues to diverse audiences. Your flexibility allows you to build and execute multiple policy-focused campaigns across different matters simultaneously.
You are skilled at monitoring policy and legislative developments, identifying and prioritizing issues relevant to the business. You ensure that business leaders are well-informed on relevant policy developments, understanding the business impact, risks, and opportunities. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with internal business, policy, communications, and legal teams, as well as external stakeholders such as policymakers, industry stakeholders, academics, and advocacy groups.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead advocacy efforts focused on effective, customer-centric policies, including legislative and regulatory initiatives. You will conduct thorough research and analysis on policy issues, including market trends, economic impacts, and legal frameworks, collaborating with internal and external partners. Your work will drive forward the policy conversation on how to better serve and innovate on behalf of customers, ensuring that Amazon remains a leader in public policy advocacy in the DACH region.
