Amazon is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead advanced analytics for the Fulfilment by Amazon team. You'll work with large data sets and provide data-driven insights to improve merchant and customer experiences. This role requires proficiency in SQL, R, and Python.

Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, with a strong focus on data modeling and analysis. Your expertise in SQL allows you to query complex databases effectively, and you are proficient in R or Python for data analysis. You thrive in environments where you can work hands-on with large data sets, and you are comfortable navigating ambiguity to derive actionable insights. Your communication skills enable you to translate complex data findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made effectively. You are customer-obsessed and have a strategic mindset, always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience through data.
Desirable
Experience with BI tools and a background in e-commerce or retail analytics would be advantageous. Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and a passion for leveraging data to drive business performance are also desirable traits. You are an entrepreneurial leader who is flexible and innovative, ready to tackle challenges head-on.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the advanced analytics efforts for the Fulfilment by Amazon team, working closely with stakeholders to assess business performance across various segments. You will build complex data models that provide insights into merchant and customer experiences, driving high-impact decisions for product and program initiatives. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with data engineers and business analysts to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis. You will also be tasked with slicing and dicing multi-dimensional data sets to uncover trends and patterns that inform strategic decisions. As a subject matter expert, you will mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the analytics team.
